Operating across the Pearl River Delta industrial manufacturing hub, we specialize in multi-axis CNC machining, rapid tooling, and custom components for engineering teams, automotive Tier-1 suppliers, medical device developers, and hardware innovators worldwide.
1. Physical Manufacturing Facility & Headquarters
AS Prototypes operates out of a dedicated 5,000+ m² manufacturing facility located in Shenzhen, China. Situated at the core of the world’s most comprehensive manufacturing ecosystem, our physical location gives us direct access to premium traceable raw materials, standardized toolmakers, and specialized industrial post-processing lines.
Over the past decade, we have built a dependable reputation by keeping our promises: direct engineer-to-engineer technical communication, transparent DFM feedback within 24 hours, and zero tolerance for non-conforming parts.
2. Production Machining Shopfloor & Manufacturing Capabilities
Our shopfloor is equipped with production-grade CNC machinery and experienced machinists handling both quick-turn prototyping and serial batch production:
- Precision CNC Machining: 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis simultaneous CNC milling, high-precision CNC turning, and micro Swiss-type lathes capable of tolerances down to ±0.005 mm.
- Engineering Materials: Aerospace-grade aluminum (6061-T6, 7075-T6, 5052), stainless steel (303, 304, 316L, 17-4PH), brass, copper, titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), and engineering plastics (POM, PEEK, PC, PTFE, PMMA).
- Flexible Batch Runs: No restrictive MOQ — from 1-off prototypes for engineering validation to 10,000+ pieces for production runs.
- Surface Finishing & Assembly: Anodizing (Type II / III Hardcoat), bead blasting, chemical passivation, electroplating, and threaded insert installation.
3. In-House Quality Metrology & Inspection Laboratory
Quality inspection is conducted in our dedicated, 24/7 temperature-controlled metrology cleanroom (maintained at 20 ± 1°C) to eliminate thermal dimensional errors on precision metal and polymer components.
Equipped with a high-precision Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), 2.5D optical measuring projectors, calibrated digital height gauges, and granite surface plates, our metrology team inspects every critical GD&T dimension prior to dispatch:
- Incoming Material Inspection: Positive material identification and mill test verification.
- In-Process Probing: First article inspection (FAIR) before full production runs begin.
- Full Outgoing Inspection: Detailed dimensional inspection reports and bubble drawings provided with every shipment upon request.
